Profile: Arlene Mou, MB.BS, FRANZCR
Dr Arlene Mou obtained her medical degree from Monash University in Melbourne. She underwent general radiology training at The Alfred Hospital, attaining FRANZCR in 1991.
She worked in private practice from 1991 to 1995 and commenced working at Essendon BreastScreen in 1993. Arlene took up a consultant position at The Royal Melbourne Hospital in 1995 and became Senior Radiologist for North Western BreastScreen in 2005.
She is a member of the multidisciplinary breast service at the Royal Melbourne and Royal Women’s Hospitals which delivers breast care across screening and diagnostic populations, including MR imaging and biopsy.
Arlene has been involved in establishing the Breast MRI service at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and has pursued the learning of Breast MRI through sabbatical study periods at Stanford University Hospital in California and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, as well as attending several Breast MRI courses.
